A 3-Part Live-Client Masterclass Series with Jeremy Krauss

Some things can’t be taught just by watching demonstrations on practitioner participants. They have to be witnessed — in the room, hands on — with an outside person who improves and changes in front of you.

In this 3-part Masterclass, Jeremy will work with outside people/clients with different conditions and needs who come to class and have sessions with him. These sessions will be recorded, discussed, and analyzed — used as material to practice new ideas and skills.

This Masterclass puts the idea into action in the room — live, unscripted, and specific to the client who is on the table that day. You’ll see the thinking behind the touch, not just practicing the idea or technique.

What You’ll See Addressed

Because every session works with a real outside client, the exact presentation varies person to person — but across the series, expect the work to range across:
– Spinal organization,  specificity and pattern mobility
– clarity of overall personal organization
– Gait and locomotion
– Chronic pain patterns
– Post-injury and post-surgical recovery
– Stress and overuse patterns
– General stiffness and a limited sense of one’s own movement and body
– Issues related to aging
– Balance and stability

A Typical Day

– JKA ALM to start
– Q&A on the ALM
– Demo with an outside client
– Discussion, demo and practice

Skills You’ll Build in the Practice Sessions

– Assessing a client’s organization before you put your hands on
– Sequencing a session — knowing what to address first, and why
– Adapting your touch in real time, based on what you feel rather than a fixed plan

About Jeremy Krauss

Jeremy Krauss is the founder and director of the Jeremy Krauss Approach (JKA). A direct student of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, he has spent over 40 years teaching and in clinical practice, personally directing more than 28 training programs and graduating 14 trainings of JKA work with children. He is recognized internationally for the clarity and creativity with which he presents both the practical and theoretical sides of hands-on somatic work.

The Book

Jeremy’s book, Fostering Potential in Children with Special Needs: An Abilities-Oriented Perspective on Early Childhood Motor Development, has now been published by Routledge. Many of you have already ordered a copy, or heard Jeremy speak about it during your training. For those hearing about it here for the first time: it grew out of many years of working directly with children and families in Jeremy’s practice and teaching, and presents an abilities-oriented approach to child development — focusing on what a child is capable of, and building from there.
