Jeremy Krauss is an educational director and clinician who has taught internationally for over 40 years. He developed the Jeremy Krauss Approach (JKA), an innovative movement-based approach to therapeutic learning with adults and children with special needs.
A direct student of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, Jeremy has dedicated his professional life to exploring how movement supports learning, development, and human potential. Building on the principles of the Feldenkrais Method, he developed the Jeremy Krauss Approach through decades of clinical practice, teaching, and observation, offering a distinctive abilities-oriented perspective on early childhood motor development and therapeutic learning.
Throughout his career, Jeremy has directed 28 Feldenkrais Professional Training Programs and graduated 14 JKA trainings, educating hundreds of practitioners from around the world. He currently teaches the comprehensive three-year JKA Abilities Training, an interdisciplinary educational program that prepares therapists, educators, movement professionals, and other practitioners to work with adults and children through movement lessons and hands-on learning.
The JKA curriculum includes JKA Abilities Through Movement (ATM), JKA Abilities Lessons in Movement (ALM), Developmental Hands-On (DHO), Functional Hands-On (FHO), and JKA Solvents and Glue, a movement system created by Jeremy to improve structural clarity, stability, mobility, balance, strength, and vitality through precise and carefully organized movement sequences.
Jeremy is internationally recognized for his clarity, creativity, and ability to translate complex developmental concepts into practical learning experiences. His work has influenced therapists, educators, and movement professionals across a wide range of disciplines.
His latest book, Fostering Potential in Children with Special Needs: An Abilities-Oriented Perspective on Early Childhood Motor Development, published by Routledge, brings together the principles and insights developed throughout his lifetime of teaching and clinical practice, offering a fresh perspective on supporting children’s learning, movement, and development by focusing on their abilities and potential.
